PARLIAMENT education has been encouraged to be taught to family members at home in the hope of enlightening them about the work of Parliament.

John Wesley College principal Naisa Camatoko highlighted this during the ‘Meet the Speaker’ program at the school yesterday saying it was only right for students to impart their knowledge about Parliament to their families.

With the knowledge gained, he also encouraged the students to engage with Parliament in order to make their voices heard at the national level.

“Take whatever you have learned today to your homes so that everyone is well-informed about Parliament,” Mr Camatoko said.

Speaker Dr Jiko Luveni and the Parliament outreach team visited the school where she enlightened the students about her role and also the roles and functions of Parliament, in particular how citizens could engage in the parliamentary processes.
