Student pleads guilty to aggravated robbery charge

A 19-YEAR-old student charged with one count of aggravated robbery pleaded guilty to the charge after it was read to him in court today.

Semisi Vakacegu appeared before High Court judge Justice Thusara Rajasinghe.

Mr Vakacegu’s lawyer then sought time from the court to go through the summary of facts with him because there was a possibility that he may change his plea.

It is alleged that on August 1 this year, he with others allegedly stole $2500 cash from Tabaraki Bakery Shop in Nakasi.

The case has been adjourned to October 4, 2018.
