Choosing clothes for plus size women

Big or plus sized women are often referred to in many Pacific communities as beautiful!

And sometimes when you have lost some weight for the sake of health or fitness it may not be seen as something to admire.

Family you meet would often ask what happened and whether you have been sick to lose weight? This is because weight gain and being big and fleshy is usually a sign of happiness for our families.

Up until recently of course when more health and fitness programs have been encouraged because of the rising non communicable diseases and sickness in our side of the world.

Well we can all have our different views on this subject but sometimes when you're a plus-sized woman, shopping can be frustrating in two ways: Finding clothes that fit your shape, and finding clothes that fit your budget!

Getting creative with your resources means you get more selection, better prices, and, ultimately, a better and trendier wardrobe.

Don't shy away from pursuing a bargain, and you'll be rewarded with a wardrobe that you love.

Some tips for plus size shopping from the money crashers website may help you with the ultimate piece of shopping advice if you wear plus sizes.

Remember that, no matter what size you wear, a general fit model was used to create the pattern in each size. And, unless you were that fit model, clothes will fit your curves differently.

Gaping, pulling, and bunching are all pretty common, whether you're plus size or not. That's why finding a tailor should be a priority if you want clothes to fit your body perfectly. Choosing clothes that fit the widest parts of your body and then having them tailored back to fit the smaller parts is the easiest and cheapest way to make sure you look like a million bucks, even if you didn't have much to spend!

Having your clothes professionally tailored might sound pricey, but compared with purchasing designer clothes in premium fabrics, it's surprisingly affordable. Here are some examples of tailoring tasks you might want to consider:

You can shorten jacket sleeves, take in a professional dress to make it fitting and shapely for you, hem pants, shorts, tops, skirts, or dresses to make it fitting length-wise, or take in jacket seams to fit you well.

So in this case making friends with a tailor in your area is a great idea, as you'll be able to make just about any piece of clothing look like it was made just for you.

Suit jackets, suit pants, tailored blouses, and professional dresses are your best bets for tailoring, since they're the clothes that are required to look the most polished.

Accessories add personality to your wardrobe, and they're cheap and super easy to find if you know where to look especially in stores that sell pre-loved clothes and there's so many around these days.

If you're plus-sized, you've probably noticed that some accessories accentuate your body better than others.

Long and lean accessories, such as light scarves, long necklaces, and drop earrings, usually look better than chunky, short necklaces, bulky scarves, and studs.

Stock up on the accessories that make you feel your best at trendy stores that sell it cheap or even from those ladies that do office to office visits.

There, you can always find pretty selections for cheap prices.

One great resource for lower-cost plus-size clothing is second-hand outlets. There is always more selection in terms of plus-size fashion going cheap and coming in one piece.

If you're totally in love with the way one particular brand of clothing makes you look and feel, but you're not as enamoured with the price, check out second-hand stores.

You may need to do a little digging, but the prices are well worth it and more than often they sell at half price or even as cheap as a dollar or two for clothes.
