Focus on employee development

THE Sales and Marketing team at Radisson Blu Resort Fiji is undergoing a six-week training program designed to improve development.

In a press statement released this week, the resort said it believed in investing in its team members to be innovative and service driven through continuous training and development and had committed 2018 as a year of training and up-skilling across the resort.

"With the fast paced and ever evolving hospitality industry in Fiji, the importance of motivating and giving the team the right tools is crucial for every resort," said Suzie Jones, director of Sales — Australia and New Zealand.

"Strategic planning and execution is important to close and negotiate business deals."

The Sales and Marketing team at the Radisson Blu Resort Fiji consists of five members.

The six-week training will focus on sales techniques, the resorts unique selling points, features and benefits of the resort, sales cycles, presentation skills, upselling, WOW factors with site inspections and personal business plans.

"The next few weeks of training will be an intensive program to strengthen the sales and marketing team at the resort and to enhance their knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry.

"At the end of the training I am confident the team will be more strategically minded sales people able to effectively maximise their business."
