NZ Police investigate Grey Lynn deaths

Update: 5:01PM AUCKLAND: NEW Zealand Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of two people in Grey Lynn yesterday afternoon.

NZ Police's Detective Inspector Aaron Pascoe said at about 3.15pm, Police were called to an address in the inner residential suburb of Auckland city.

He said upon arrival, Police staff found two people deceased at the property, and are now working to establish what happened.

"At this stage, Police are not looking for anyone in relation to their deaths," Det Insp Pascoe said.

"The property has been cordoned off while a scene examination continues.

"We are aware of the speculation at this time as to the identities of the deceased, however, as formal identification has not yet taken place, we are not in a position to comment any further on this."

He said formal identification procedures, along with post-mortem examinations would be carried out tomorrow and an update provided after.
