THE first prosecution witness in the trial of four men, who allegedly murdered a 21-year-old man in Nakasi, told the court yesterday, the cameras at the service station recorded the movement of every individual, who visited the station.

Abjit Singh, who is the Central Division IT site supervisor for Tappoo Group of Companies, told the court he was informed by his director that a murder took place at one of their service stations.

Mr Singh said he was also instructed to extract the CCTV footage and hand it to police.

Epeli Tucila, Saimone Tucila Snr, Alipate Naimoso and Saimone Tucila Jnr are charged with one count of murder each.

The four are standing trial before Justice Riyaz Hamza for the alleged offence.

The four allegedly committed the offence in February, 2016.

In his opening statement during the trial yesterday, State counsel Meli Vosawale, claimed the victim's life was cut short because he was brutally assaulted in the most inhumane way by four men.

During cross examination by defence lawyer Shantel Hazelman, the witness said the footage from the CCTV cameras was of high quality and that it could capture every movement clearly.

The trial continues before Justice Hamza today.
