Seismic activity: Fiji region records 5.1 mag quake

Update: 12:14PM A 5.1 MAGNITUDE earthquake Was recorded in the Fiji Islands region this morning.

The seismic activity occurred at 6.33am at a depth of 683km.

It was registered 290km Southeast from Nausori, 353km South-southeast from Labasa, 406km Southeast from Nadi, and 294km Southeast from Suva.

The Mineral Resources department in Suva said the moderate earthquake did not pose any immediate threat to the region.
