Fiji FA awards night

NOMINATIONS are open for the 2016/17 Global Flight Centre/Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Awards night.

Fiji FA administration officer Nishaal Prasad confirmed the awards night is scheduled for March 24.

"We have already sent the nomination forms to all the districts," Prasad said.

"It is now up to the districts to send in their potential nominees to contest for this year's awards night," he said.

A total of 15 awards are up for grabs including the prime honour of being named the Footballer of the Year.

The award categories include: Coach of the Year, Footballer of the Year, Administrator of the Year (Premier), Administrator of the Year (Senior), Popular Footballer of the Year (Vodafone), Woman Footballer of the Year, Junior Footballer of the Year, Junior Women's Footballer of the year, Team of the Year, Referee of the Year, Fair Play Player of the Year, Goal of the Year, Media Personality of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Employee of the Year (Fiji FA Award).

Setareki Hughes was named the Footballer of the Year during the 2015/16 Awards last year.

The event will take place at the Fiji FA Academy in Vatuwaqa, Suva.
