IN improving its customer service delivery, a leading retail company in Fiji organised a workshop to enhance its staff members' knowledge on a global brand under their product portfolio.

Courts recently held the workshop with one of its suppliers — STIHL — a globally renowned brand in outdoor equipment.

And interestingly, the training was mainly to upscale its staff members on product knowledge on the range of battery operated STIHL products which require no fuel.

The company, in a statement, stated that the two-day training workshop was conducted last month for its eastern and western staff members.

"The conductor of the workshop was Brad Cathcart, export manager Pacific Islands of STIHL Ltd who managers the distribution and marketing of STIHL products in Fiji," the company stated.

"Mr Cathcart has extensive experience in STIHL products and he shared his vast knowledge of the products with the staff of Courts."

The workshop also gave attendees the chance to learn about the specifications and operations of various STIHL products and accessories.

"The attendees of the workshop got to try some of the STIHL equipment hands on to get the experience and the feel of handling the equipment they sell," the company further stated.

"The general consensus of the staff members attending frequent workshops was that they learned a lot and were looking forward to aiding the customers with better informed product knowledge."

STIHL products incliding brush-cutters, chainsaws, water blasters and vacuum cleaners are available at Courts.
