Coconut plants

Nardeo Mishra, Suva
Tuesday, March 06, 2018

Thank you The Fiji Times for printing my Letters to the Editor on Saturday (3/3) regarding coconut plants from the Agriculture Department.

I would also like to thank the Minister for Agriculture for his prompt action and making sure that we were delivered on Sunday (4/3). There were 260 coconut plants direct from Suva in the evening. Sir, we do not want to go to the press to highlight our problems but when your ground staff do not do their job, then we have no option but to seek assistance from the media.

We as farmers want to help our government and country move forward and if we get timely assistance from the departments concerned, we don't see why we can't be a prosperous nation.

Once again, thank you minister for your timely help and hope your staff members also follow your steps in future.

Vinaka vakalevu.
