Weather watch: Heavy rain remains for Fiji

Update: 6:05PM A HEAVY rain warning remains in force for Fiji.

The special weather bulletin number thirteen for Fiji on heavy rain issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 4:30pm on this afternoon says a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji.

It is expected to affect the group for the next few days.

Meanwhile, Tropical Disturbance TD09F lies slow moving to the northwest of Nadi and has a potential to further intensify as it tracks Southwestwards.

The forecast for the Fiji group, there will be periods of rain, heavy at times and few squally thunderstorms.

Localised heavy fall may lead to flooding of low lying areas.
