Update: 3:28PM TRADITIONAL leaders and faith based leaders from various villagers in the district of Mali, Nadogo and Labasa will now be more equipped with their leadership roles after the one week leadership training for leaders that was held at the Vunivutu village hall outside Labasa this morning.

The  training is facilitated by LEAD Fiji and New Zealand  in partnership with Macuata Provincial Council  under the Macuata Financial Growth Frame work to provide learning and development training for traditional leaders of  Macuata.

National iTaukei Resource Owners Council rep of  Macuata Peni Donu, said  the training would help traditional leaders to gain more knowledge of how to lead their people in times of disaster, risk situation, projects implementation and other development works in the village.

"This is a great training for traditional leaders, faith based leaders, women leaders, youth leaders and district leaders  where they will be fully equipped in their roles as leaders," he said.

"They will be able to motivate villagers on how they can improve and work even harder in terms of getting their village projects grow."
