2018 USA 7s: Kenya confident to beat Fiji

Maciu Malo in Las Vegas
Saturday, March 03, 2018

Update: 4:19PM KENYA 7s coach Innocent Simiyu said he assembled the best possible team that could beat the Fiji Airways national side at this weekend's Las Vegas 7s tournament.

He said the return of his seasoned campaigners such as Collins Injera and Willy Ambaka had given him and his troops the much-needed confidence to beat the Fijians.

Simiyu said the only way to beat Fiji was to deny them possession.

Kenya is in the same Pool A with Fiji, France, and Russia.

So far, Fiji thumped Russia 38-0 in the opening match, and downed France 33-5 in its second game.
