KING of 7s Waisale Serevi has told members of the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s players to play this weekend as if it was their last game.

The 7s maestro, who surprised the team at their training session at the Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex, said they needed to be patient and maintain discipline to produce the goods this weekend.

He said the players had proven themselves in Hamilton and nothing could stop them from winning if they maintained discipline and played as a team.

"The boys should treat every game as their last game," said Serevi.

"They should forget about the next game or the eliminations and to give their best in all the games.

"Most importantly they should be patient and improve on their discipline.

"In Hamilton we beat the winners of the first three tournaments and nothing should stop them if they executed their game plan smartly.

"I believe it should be a good weekend."

He also asked the people of Fiji to support coach Gareth Baber and the team management for the commitment and the hard work they endured since taking over from Ben Ryan last year.

"The boys have been playing together from last year and they are on the right path.

"Gareth and Naca (Nacanieli Cawanibuka) have been working hard to build a winning combination and they deserved the support from the people of Fiji and the fans."

The Gau 7s magician reiterated discipline plays a key role during the game and was satisfied that the boys and the management were also aware of this setback.

Fiji faces Russia at 12:06pm in their opening game today, play France at 3:07pm before the final pool game against Kenya at 8:36am tomorrow morning.
