Ewan 'dumped' by younger lover

Saturday, March 03, 2018

EWAN McGregor has reportedly been dumped by his younger girlfriend Mary Elizabeth Winstead, the actor who he left his wife of 22 years for.

The Scottish actor filed for divorce from his wife Eve Mavrakis, the mother of his four daughters, six months after he was spotted kissing his Fargo co-star in a London restaurant.

American actor Winstead, 33, has reportedly ditched 46-year-old McGregor amid claims she hated being labelled a "homewrecker".

McGregor's wife Eve, a production designer, was left devastated over the shock breakup, which the Trainspotting actor blamed on "irreconcilable differences".

The couple, who had a whirlwind romance, married in a small village in the east of France in 1995 after meeting on the set of British legal drama Kavanagh QC.

They went on to have three daughters — Clara, Anouk and Esther. They adopted a fourth daughter, Jamyan, from Mongolia in 2006.

The news of McGregor's reported split from Winstead is revealed in the latest edition of US magazine Star.

When asked by the British media if she knew of the split, Eve Mavrakis said: "No, I hadn't heard."

A source told the magazine: "Mary hated being labelled a homewrecker and the embarrassment it caused her."
