TWENTY Leadership Fiji 2016 participants undertook various projects from 2016-2017 to contribute to a sustainable environment and provide equal opportunity for all as part of their program.

Participant Leonard Chan said one of the projects was on Malake Island. "One of the projects was basically the Malaka Island mangrove restoration we worked on with the villages there to plant mangroves seedlings to protect the environment," Mr Chan said.

Mr Chan said members of the team carried out other community works in their own personal levels and in different organisations as well.

Some of the projects conducted were donations to Homes of Hope, construction of an outdoor nursery shelter, financial literacy workshop and supply of mattresses for small children. The twenty participants received their Leadership Fiji fellow badges at a launch in Suva on Thursday night.
