Year of the Dog stamps launched

Update: 2:19PM POST Fiji Ltd (FPL) in partnership with the China Cultural Centre in Fiji this morning launched four commemorative stamps to celebrate the Chinese New Year - the Year of the Dog.

FPL acting CEO Isaac Mow said they were proud to partner with the China Cultural Centre to create awareness for the Chinese New Year.

"Both Post Fiji and the China Cultural Centre are iconic brands that have strong heritage links to Fiji's past and into our future," Mr Mow said.

Director of China Cultural Centre Xiang Fu Deng said the successful launch of the stamps again highlighted the ever-deepened friendship between the Chinese and Fijian people.

The launch was officiated jointly by Chinese Ambassador Qian Bo, permanent secretary for the Ministry of Education, Heritage and Arts Alison Burchell, Mr Deng and FPL's Mr Mow.
