Poll issue I was always sceptical about that poll. Allen Lockington Kava Place, Waiyavi, Lautoka

WHEN the power is off - the traffic lights goes off too - this is where the drivers are tested on what they should do in such scenario.

I gather that the roundabout rules apply immediately which is allowing vehicles on your right first chance, but some drivers are completely lost not knowing what to do or which rule to follow.

This led to an accident at the Kinoya junction, a few days ago, involving a number of cars.

Drivers should have refresher courses in between their licence duration.

And apart from that there are drivers still moving on red lights.

There is orange to warn you that it's about to be red.

You should stop and at pedestrian crossings, these would be very dangerous that people could seriously be injured.

I believe some Fiji drivers are very careless at times and these situations should be addressed on a regular basis.

Stress management, control on consumption of salt, oil and sugar is the way forward to a happy life, as reinforced by Dr Isimeli Tukana.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

But if you keep the apple away you will see a doctor every day to add more expenses towards treating NCDs.

The choice is ours.

I noticed the two-lane roads at Namaka with newly-installed drains were incapable of draining out all the rainwater turning the roadside into a mini creek and a danger to motorists.

Let's hope the designers learn from this and build bigger drains for future road constructions.

I sat in a taxi in Nakasi yesterday and when I got off - I showed him my senior citizen card and asked for a discount.

The driver told me this does not apply for taxis.

Can the authorities concerned clarify this?
