Let us all acknowledge and thank everyone who was involved in the search and rescue mission of the crashed Cessna 172 aircraft on Vanua Levu.

The villagers who participated in the search are particularly thanked for their willingness and voluntary effort. Your support was urgently needed as you knew the area better and you gave it without any hesitation. Such show of support and kindness is cherished.

I wholeheartedly thank you and hope others learn from your deeds. The families of both the victims would be very grateful for your help bringing the case to a closure.

While phase one is over now let the investigation to determine the cause of the crash begin. To the grieving families, please find strength and courage to overcome the loss. We are with you.
