Friday, March 02, 2018

HARDworking soldier Paula Dranisinukula said the cold weather in Las Vegas would not deter the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s players from giving their best this weekend.

The towering forward said team spirit was high and players were eager to showcase the Fijian flair during the three-day tournament.

He said the win from Hamilton would boost their campaign this weekend.

"The weather maybe new to us, but not rugby 7s," said Dranisinukula. "We are here for a purpose and we will do our best for our fans and the people of Fiji.

"The boys are ready to give their best because we are aware of the expectation back home."

His fellow forward Vasikali Mudu echoed the sentiment that the weather would not stop the boys from giving their best.

He said they had prepared well for the tournament and would do their best for the people Fiji.

"We will take each game as they come and do what the coach require from us."

Meanwhile, the players had a day-off yesterday before Saturday's kick-off.

The side will have the captain's run this morning before the team joins other players in the afternoon parade march.

Fiji is the top seed of the tournament and is against Russia, France and Kenya in pool matches.
