WALLABY and ACT Brumbies winger Henry Speight will be the guest speaker during the 2017 Fiji Sports Awards night tomorrow.

Awards committee chairman Manasa Baravilala said Speight was scheduled to arrive into the country after his team's Super Rugby match against the Reds at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium tonight.

"Speight currently plays for the Brumbies and made his debut in 2011 season and as a winger has scored 34 tries," Baravilala said.

"It is interesting that Henry is playing his game on Friday and then we will fly him out on Saturday straight from Brisbane to Fiji and on to the sports awards."

Speight will be escorted by Police on his arrival from the Nausori International Airport to the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.

"The tickets are still on sale as $60 per head and $480 per table for eight people and they are being sold at the Fiji Sports Council."

The chief guest will be the Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou.

Speight, a former Queen Victoria School student, represents Australia in 15s and 7s rugby as a winger and outside centre.

His first taste of professional rugby came in his final year at Hamilton Boys High School in New Zealand when he was picked for Waikato to make his debut against the Bay of Plenty in 2008.

Speight went on to represent the province over four seasons. Not eligible for the NZ schoolboys team, the Navicula, Wainibuka man represented Fiji in the same year at the Junior World Cup in Belfast.

Speight made his Brumbies debut during the 2011 Super Rugby season against the Chiefs in Canberra.

After becoming eligible for the Australian national rugby team Speight made his Wallabies debut during the 2014 Spring Tour Test against Ireland.
