Cessna 172: Macuata will remember aviators

Update: 3:27PM MACUATA will always remember the fallen pilots, Merelesita Lutu and Iliesa Tawalo, as will travellers who fly over the Delaikoro mountain range.

Tui Macuata Ratu Wiliame Katonivere believes the memory of the crash of the Pacific Flying School Cessna will be a significant part of the history of his province.

He told The Fiji Times the accident that led to the deaths of the young pilots was unfortunate but reminded the team no one could foretell their tomorrow.

"However, we will always remember them in the vanua of Macuata and those who travel to or from Viti Levu will always remember the two when they fly over Delaikoro," Ratu Wiliame said.

"Their lives and contribution to the aviation industry will always be treasured."
