Dranisinukula sets Vegas mission

Maciu Malo In Las Vegas
Thursday, March 01, 2018

FIJIAN soldier Paula Dranisinukula has set a mission to play his heart out for his loved ones.

The favourite rugby son of Navuniivi Village in Ra is dedicating this Las Vegas 7s outing to his parents in the village and his wife and children in Suva.

And being one of the senior players in the team, the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s forward is eager to continue his best form he left off in Hamilton.

"This is my first Las Vegas 7s tournament and I will give my best to help the team win," said Dranisinukula.

"It is a tough ask for me and the boys but we are ready for the battle.

"Personally for me this tournament will be crucial, I will be dedicating my game to my parents back my village in Ra and to my wife and kids.

"These people have been there for me throughout my rugby career and I will improve from where I left off in New Zealand for my loved ones." He said after a long time the players had tasted the winning feeling and was confident of another good outing this weekend.

"We have tasted victory in Hamilton and we know how sweet it is and it definitely will boost us this week," he added.

Dranisinukula made his debut for the national 7s team at the HSBC 7s series at last year's France and England 7s.

He is one of the senior players being eyed by coach Gareth Baber to lead by example this weekend.
