Security strategy to protect national boundaries

Update: 10:21PM PERMANENT Secretary for Defence, National Security and Immigration,Osea Cawaru said the National Security Strategy was designed to ensure that Fiji's territorial integrity, boarder security, protection of Economic Exclusive Zone(EEZ),maritime surveillance, safety at sea and improvement of partnership between agencies was safeguarded.

He said a joint effort between boarder agencies was needed.

Mr Cawaru highlighted in during his opening address during the Boarder agency coordination workshop at Novotel Suva Lami Bay convention centre this morning.
