Tough 2019 RWC

The results from this year's Six Nations make next year's RWC in Japan exciting. I watched how the brave hearts from Scotland under coach Gregor Townsend demolished and ended England's hopes of a grand slam. Indeed Scotland produced for 80 minutes a blistering and thrilling display of attacking and entertaining rugby.

On the other hand, Ireland took another massive step towards winning the Six Nations after belting Wales. The Irish have been impressive under coach Joe Schmidt and should challenge the All Blacks, Australia and Springboks in the quest to win the Webb Ellis Cup from the reigning champions.

I hope McKee is lining up a formidable side to take on the world's best in Japan.

Meanwhile, my disgruntled friends and Chiefs fans did not answer my call after the mighty Crusaders taught them a rugby lesson. The Super Rugby competition is getting strong and I am counting on the All Blacks, Wallabies and Springboks to name strong sides for the Test matches in June and then the rugby competition which will follow.

Finally, my best wishes to speed merchant Uluiyata Batinisavu as he makes his way to Las Vegas to join our 7s team. Nonetheless, I hope that visa will be granted to our Hamilton 7s hero Naduva so that he continues to impress rugby fans.
