* Midday: Department of Civil Aviation confirms that a Pacific Flying School Cessna 172 aircraft Reg DQ FTR was reported missing;

* 12:20pm: Labasa Flight Services declared a local standby phase;

* 12:40pm: Nadi Air Traffic management declared a search/rescue SAR (Search and Rescue) uncertainty phase;

* 12:48pm: Upgraded the SAR to distress level;

* 2pm: Search starts in the North with teams of police and military personnel deployed to Navakuru, Dogoru and Suweni villages; and,

* 8pm: Search for the first day was called off.
