Missing Aircraft: Day 2 search called off

Update: 7:17PM TODAY'S search for the missing Cessna 172 aircraft along the Delaikoro mountain range of Cakaudrove has been called off.

Divisional Police Commander North SSP Verani Nakauyaca said the search would resume early tomorrow morning.

He said all search teams that combed the area today returned without results.

SSP Nakauyaca said some teams, however, were still making their way back to Dogoru Village where the operations were based from.

Pacific Flying School Cessna 172 crewed by trainee pilot Merelesita Lutu, 21 and flying instructor Iliesa Tawalo were last heard from at noon on Monday.
