Update: 3:43PM SIXTEEN staff members of Fiji Gas Limited are undergoing a two-day micro and small business training conducted by the Pacific Islands Private Sector Organisation (PIPSO) in Suva.

A statement by PIPSO today said the financial literacy training is for low to middle management staff members from various departments including human resources, marketing, sales and installation, ICT, operations and compliance.

The staff members will be taken through seven modules of PIPSO's level one financial toolkit covering business goals and record keeping, assets, liabilities and equity, cash books and cash flow forecasting.

Fiji Gas Limited chief executive officer Hans Reiher said conducting business with care and in accordance to relevant laws and regulations was important to them.

"In educating the staff on issues such as taxation as well as learning basic financial skills, we can accomplish this and also contribute to the development of each staff member," he said.

The training will end tomorrow.
