Flood alert in force for north

Update: 11:35AM THE flood alert that was previously in force for low lying areas and small streams adjacent to Votualevu station and down-streams of Nadi river is now cancelled.

The National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi reported in its bulletin issued at 2:35am today, the level at Votualevu station  was 2.18m at 2am which is 2.32m below alert level and decreasing.

There is however a flood alert in force for the low lying areas and small streams for Vanualevu, Taveuni, Northern and Eastern parts of Viti Levu.

The next special weather bulletin for flood will be issued at or around 12.35pm.
