Missing Aircraft: Maritime rescue service joins search

Update: 11:19AM THE Fiji Maritime Surveillance Rescue Coordination Centre (FMSRCC) has engaged the service of two aircrafts as it continues its search for the missing crew of the Pacific Flying School Cessna 172 over the Delaikoro mountain range of Cakaudrove.

In its recent Tweet, FMSRCC said the ground search team of police and the military were also combing the area on foot.

The FMSRCC said they had a forward staging team in Labasa focused on operations and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

Missing are trainee pilot Merelesita Lutu, 21 and flying instructor Iliesa Tawalo.
