Minister for Rubbish

If you are feeling bored online, just tap into and enter Allen Lockington's Facebook page and I guarantee that you will come out laughing or just a big smile on your face.

Apart from the funny stories, the other day he suggested that since a new Minister for Waterways was created for Dr Reddy, maybe it is about time to appoint a Minister for Rubbish, Litter or whatever fancy name we want to call Fiji's eyesore.

It may sound funny but for some years now, even the PM and the President of Fiji have come out to remind Fijians to keep Fiji clean. The plain instructions to keep Suva or Fiji clean seems to be falling on deaf ears as from children to adults, rubbish is disposed anywhere and not kept until put into a rubbish bin.

So if we are fed up of the unchanging mind-set in not doing the right thing as far as rubbish is concerned, then Government should appoint a Minister for Rubbish.

I believe Fijians had no say in the appointment and set up of a Minister for Waterways.

For a Minister for Rubbish, all concerned Fijians shout out, yes!
