Club games

Spot on Shah! History has shown that talents are identified at club level and districts that fail to have club competitions will always rely on talents from other districts.

I remember in the 1990s, club soccer in the Hidden Paradise was a hit and how fans would gather at Narains Park on Saturdays to see and cheer for their teams. Back then we were water boys.

I hope to see our boys back in the top flight and I am pleading with the veterans to come together and guide the Savusavu soccer team. The late Surend Rama had taken Savusavu to soaring heights.

On the other hand, teams like Levuka, Nalawa and Vatukoula were giants but I believe lack of support saw them disappear from the soccer circles.

I plead with Fiji FA and the evergreen CEO to please revive soccer in these districts and get them back to where they once were.

By the way congratulations to the Blues on their win in the O-League competition against Madang FC!
