Strong wind warning for Fiji

Update: 1:15PM A STRONG wind warning is in force for all Fiji waters, directed especially to all mariners.

The marine weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 11:00am this morning says a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the eastern parts of Fiji.

The weatherman says it is expected to affect the group till Wednesday night.

Meanwhile the forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, there will be occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.

Rain becoming frequent and heavy from tonight and continuous heavy rain may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
