It is time that the officials and players of Nasinu Soccer Association work together to take the district to where it was in the days of the '90s when Nasinu was a force to be reckoned with. Since its demotion, Nasinu was able to win the 2016 Courts IDC and the side looks to be on the right track after beating Navua and Naitasiri by a goal. Coached by former Suva star midfielder Nathan Shivam and boasting the likes of Nasoni Mereke, Kaushik Kumar, Sandeep "Anna" Nair, Savinesh Mudiliar and some young blood, the giant-killers look like gaining the form that they once had when in the premier grade. I congratulate and thank the Nasinu soccer side for the good performance so far and I also challenge the players and management to prove critics wrong by making it back to the top flight. All the best Nasinu!

I am extremely happy for Savusavu officials in reviving the club games at the weekend. I was stunned to see the hidden talents on show. I hope Labasa soccer will follow the same. I believe they have not organised any club competition for three years. I know Fiji FA will investigate all northern districts and see that these games are organised not only in the North but all over Fiji. Please Mr president, include Nalawa, Vatukoula and Levuka. Mr Lingam, I need your input here.

What's difficult about announcing the date of election?

Waisale Serevi was inducted to the Multiethnic USA Hall of fame 2018 at the 18th Annual Induction and community Award Ceremony which was held in Oakland California on the February 23, 2018. It was first for rugby and history in the making. For all Serevi has done for rugby, he deserves this sort of recognition and congratulations to the king of sevens.

I believe the latest Tebbutt-Times popularity poll is a very good indicator for anybody who wants to contest the elections. To have any success in the elections you either need to be well known to everyone in Fiji or be a very famous person.
