NIPPY striker Abu Zahid scored the winner for Ba against Rewa in their 2018 Vodafone Premier League match at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori yesterday.

Zahid connected with a Kishan Sami cross and slammed it past Rewa goalkeeper Benito Waqavou mid way in the first half.

The match lived up to the expectation with both the teams creating chances in the match with Rewa missing two golden opportunities in the first half.

Ba had the services of Malakai Tiwa, Avinesh Suwamy, Josaia Ratu and two overseas-based players Nathan Brown and Troy Watson in the side.

The Marika Rodu-coached side played under pressure in the second half trying to find the equaliser, however, the strong Ba defence did not allow the Rewa attackers any chance to score in front of their home crowd.
