THE people of the North now have more financing options after Kontiki Finance Ltd (KFL) opened their new service centre in Labasa last Friday,

The licensed credit institution, which is its third year of operations in Fiji, opened its centre at the Gurbachan Singh Mall in Labasa as part of its commitment to providing high quality customer care and delivery of financial products and services to its customers.

Kontiki Finance head of products and distribution Philip Lacey said the new office would also allow them to efficiently service their clients in the Northern Division

"We promised the people of Labasa that we will open one office here in Labasa for our customer demographic and we're glad that we have finally made it," Mr Lacey said.

Mr Lacey said with their new office opened in Labasa and also in Lautoka, they would be able to further grow their customer base.

"We are doing this because we found that Fijians like to see, feel and touch bricks and water and we give them exactly what they want," he said.

"We are now here for our customers since a lot of our customers here in the North are civil servants or employees of large employer group that are looking for deep consolidation type loans.

"So what that means is that these type of customers obtained a salary code from the employer group to Kontiki so that their payment to Kontiki is facilitated through their pay every fortnight to pay their loan with us and it makes it easy for the customer and easy for Kontiki as well.

"We have around 4000 civil servants in the North and we know that we have approximately 7000 customers throughout Fiji."
