Update: 6:33PM OFFICERS from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and the Fiji Police Force cannot be present at all places at all times says, Minister for Transport Parveen Kumar.

He highlighted this during the Fiji Driving School Association Central and Eastern division annual general meeting in Suva yesterday.

Mr Kumar said apart from Government  and its enforcement agencies, the onus was also on the driving school operators to ensure the development of  safe drivers.

The minister said government through the Fiji Police Force and Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) had spent $8 million to help ensure the enforcement of road safety rules.
