Weather watch: Rainy weather to prevail tomorrow

Update: 2:18PM A TROUGH of low pressure with associated cloud and showers lies to the northeast of the group is expected to gradually move over the group tomorrow.

The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 10:45am this morning says associated cloud and showers affects the northern and eastern parts of the group. 

The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, the weatherman says there will be some showers over the Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group, eastern parts and the interior of the other larger islands.

Showers and thunderstorms will become heavy and frequent tomorrow.

Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.

Isolated heavy falls expected and localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
