Tuivuna brace helps Labasa at home

Antonio Tuivuna bagged two goals for Labasa as the home side defended its turf by beating Tavua 5-2 in their 2018 Vodafone Premier League match at Subrail Park in Labasa yesterday.

The win kept the home team's hope alive in the competition. Labasa drew first blood through a goal from Ratu Apenisa Anare and then another goal to Antonio Tuivuna for a comfortable 2-0 lead. Tavua replied in the 30th minute from Malakai Sivo and trailed to 2-1 at half time.

The visitors came firing in the second half and registered another goal in the 4th minute through Vilive Naulevu to draw level 2-all. Labasa replied to take the lead again 3-2 before Tuivuna bagged another goal in the 21st minute of the second half. Ratu Anare sealed the Babasiga Lion's victory with his second goal in the last minute of play to give his side a 5-2 victory.
