Makoe to miss Ba clash

DEFENDER Amani Makoe will not be part of the Rewa team that will play Ba at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori this afternoon.

The match is the highlight of this weekend's 2018 Vodafone Premier League.

The Marika Rodu-coached side has one point after playing three matches and sits on sixth position on the points table.

"We will not have the services of Iosefo Verevou because he is serving his six-match suspension," Rodu said.

"Defender Amani Makoe, who copped a red card in our match against Lautoka, will also miss the match," Rewa manager Vikash Prasad added.

"It will be a challenging match for Rewa."

Prasad said Ba would be a tough side to beat.

"The players are looking forward to the match against Ba because we know it is going to be a tough match for Rewa. We were on a bye last weekend, so the players rested last weekend and then got back to training on Monday.

"For Ba it will be an opportunity for them to bounce back as both teams will look for their first win of the season."

The match kicks off at 3pm.
