Nawaka 7s: Cross of Victory to meet Police in cup final

Update: 4:54PM FIJI Bitter Nawaka 7s reigning champion, Cross of Victory Taveuni is just a step away from retaining its title after thumping Wardens 28-5 in the cup semi final at Nadi's Prince Charles park.

The Garden Island boys stunned the Wardens with free flowing game and tough defensive pattern that kept their opponents at bay.

Fiji Airways national 7s training squad member Anare Tevita played a grand game for his team despite copping a yellow card early in the game.

Meanwhile, in the other semi final Police proved too strong for the unknown Congo Waimanu side 22-7.

Laced with star players such as Sitiveni Waqa, Livai Ikanikoda, Rusiate Matai, Meli Kurisaru, the lawmen dominated all facets of the game to power their way through.

  • Plate: Saunaka 19 First Light Taveuni 12, Tabadamu 14 Gaunavou 12
  • Under 19: Tuva 19 Nawaka 15, Ratu Filise 22 Saunivalu 5
  • Oldies: Waimanu 14 0 Big Bula Water Park, Mosi 10 Nawaka 0
  • Cup: Cross of victory Taveuni 28 Wardens 5, Police 22 7 Congo Waimanu
