AFTER positive price movements in four listed securities, the overall market value on the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPSE) rose to a new highest value of $1,984,120,020 during the trading week ended yesterday after posting an increase of $15,717,637 or 0.80 per cent.

Another similar increase could see the overall market cap topping the $2 billion mark at the end of next week, and this is highly likely based on the 12-month trend in the increase in total market cap.

Meanwhile, the four listed stocks included FMF Foods Ltd (FMF) which gained $0.02 to close at $1.22 per share, Fiji Television Ltd (FTV) gained $0.01 to end at $2.15, while RB Patel Group Ltd (RBG) gained $0.04 and Vision Investments Ltd (VIL) gained $0.11 to close at $4.34 and $3.12 per share respectively.

While a total of 41,199 shares exchanged hands in 26 transactions this week accumulating $160,277 in consideration it was just slightly higher than the week before where 28,064 shares were traded for $140,219.
