SOCIAL Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) leader Sitiveni Rabuka says the party has not received any word from former party leader and Opposition Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa on her intentions to contest the polls under a SODELPA ticket.

Ro Teimumu earlier disclosed to this newspaper her intention to contest this year's general election with SODELPA.

This was after she was approached by eight chiefs from Rewa and the Tui Suva, Sanaila Mudunavosa, requesting her to contest this year's election.

"We have not heard from her as a party.

"We only see in the press.

"She has announced that she will contest, I don't know whether she will contest under SODELPA because she has not put in any intention."

Ro Teimumu said she had not made a decision as yet. Meanwhile, Mr Rabuka was in the Northern Division this week to brief the party's candidates.

"We have not interviewed all candidates," he said.

"When we do, it will be in the next two weeks when we will make that announcement for those who can have their names announced."
