Minister for Employment Jone Usamate, said discussions had also taken place at the Recognised Seasonal Employer  (RSE )Conference in Blenheim and the Pacific Labour Mobility Scheme Conference held in Australia last year.

"During my  visit  New Zealand last week, we had an opportunity to discuss such issues with officials who accompanied our delegation in visiting places of employment, and also in meetings with ministers and senior officials in both Wellington and Canberra. Developments to date on these issues have been very welcome and promising," Mr Usamate said.
