Tuvalu fields team at Nawaka 7s

Update: 12:03PM TUVALU rugby 7s team will compete in the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s which starts today at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

Tuvalu rugby strength and conditioning coach Louis Uluibau said Fiji was a good place to learn 7s rugby.

"This is part of the Tuvalu Rugby Union strategy to develop the sport in Tuvalu  in 2017 where TRU for the first time have secured the service of Fijian coaches to assist with the development and the participating in the Fiji local 7s tournament," Mr UIuibau said.

The team arrived earlier this month in Fiji to prepare for the tournament.
