Faulty footpath West roadworks (FT 21/2). Patience? Allen, footpaths should be smooth and even, with no uneven or dangerous footpath surfaces. The Drasa Ave footpath surface looks like it has been washed away by the rising sea level for years and can cause people to fall and injure themselves. Hundreds use this footpath on a daily basis and should be a priority for Fiji Roads Authority. You and the FRA management should try walking along this footpath before dawn and when the streetlights are faulty. If you trip and land face first, you'll definitely envision the real second coming. Power of power

THE blackout in the Central Division on Wednesday from about 5-7pm allowed me time to reflect on how electricity has affected my life to the point of not knowing what to do to pass time during such events.

Without the benefit of a battery-operated radio or a mobile phone which was adequately charged, I actually could not find anything to do other than sitting and staring into space hoping like mad that FEA reconnected power soonest.

The power of power.

Sevens rugby

Signatures alone may not be enough.

Does Suva have the infrastructure to cater for all sevens teams and travelling fans?

Nadi may have the accommodation but I believe it needs improvement on bringing its grounds facilities to international acceptable level.

I believe FRU should start upgrading Prince Charles Park before making a bid.

Dog problems

I request the Government for some funding for animal care in the next budget.

Almost all towns and cities have stray dog problems and if the dogs are spayed free, I am sure it will help with the stray population.

It's just a request!

Railway lines

I fully support Dewan Chand of Namadi Heights, Suva.

Last Year, I wrote that we should have the railway lines from Sigatoka to Tavua and introduce passenger trains as in the olden days.

It should be on a pay system so that there is maintenance and up keep of the system. I believe it is urgent for Fiji right now.

Soccer effort

There is a lot of talk when the Ba soccer team goes to play overseas.

Lautoka is yet to play in the O League, but there is nothing to encourage these boys.

Lautoka is one of the best teams in Fiji. I know they will make us proud.
