JAI Narayan College vice-principal Paras Ram believes that an event like their inter-house competition yesterday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva will assist students achieve their sporting dreams.

About 800 students who were divided into Red, Yellow, Green and Blue house teams participated in the day-long competition.

"Some of them (students) may have a dream to become something in the sports field. This will help them become athletes, rugby players and they could also look forward to some other games like the Pacific Games.

"This sort of competition will bring out their talents. Sports will also help them be competitive on the field and in the classrooms," Ram said.

Looking at the inter-house yesterday, Ram said they were out to do better at the 2018 Coke games.

"Last year our team won silver and a bronze medal. This year we have some good athletes and we will be looking to do better by getting more medals for the school," he said.

Following the completion of the inter house the focus for Jai Narayan College turns to the zone meet later this year.

With the annual Coke games two months away schools will be preparing for the meet.
