Golfers ready for Nadi event

COASTAL Rentals/Sigatoka Motor Spares and Islands Electric are the top seeds for the four-player Ambrose event which will be played at Denarau Golf and Racquet Club Course in Nadi tomorrow.

Team Coastal Rental/Sigatoka Motor Spares will have the services of Kavitesh Prasad, Rajeshwar Prasad, Jerald Sharma and Biren Kumar.

Professional Roneel Prakash will guide the Islands Electric team which will also have Munesh Prasad, Sauh Jung and Raymond Singh.

Denarau Golf Club manager Amitesh Chandra said a total of 24 teams had entered the event.

Chandra said a team from Rakiraki would be participating.

"We have had good response for the tournament," he said.

"There was an Ambrose event in Ba last weekend which proved to be interesting after an unknown side took top honours.

"We can expect some upsets this Saturday as well."

Meanwhile the Property Destinations sponsored Nadi Airport Golf Club 2017 Championship will be held next Saturday.

The 27 holes event will be played in the A, B and C Grades.
