A MARKET vendor who lost his home in a fire recently was lost for words after he won $10,000 in a top-up and win promotion run by Digicel Fiji.

Niraj Newal, of Tuvu, Lautoka was presented with his cheque at the Lautoka market.

"I was surprised when I received a call about me winning $10,000, and at first I thought someone was fooling me. I would like to thank Digicel for running such a great promotion and rewarding its customers," said Mr Newal.

" I lost my home recently and I would be looking for a piece of land to build a new home for my mum and myself in the near future and this prizemoney will go a long way for my family."

Digicel Fiji on Wednesday announced four winners of its $50,000 promotion with Kanchana Kiran of Nadi taking $20,000 while Mr Newal, Thomas Lee and Mr Kamueli winning $10,000 each.

"The promotion was another way to reward our loyal customers with more promotions of this nature to look forward to in the future. There was an overwhelming response for this promotion as we received near seven million entries in six weeks," Michael Greig said.

Digicel customers just had to top up and go into the draw to win a share of the $50,000 prize pool.

Meanwhile Ms Kiran said: "I'm speechless, I have never won anything in a promotion and I'm happy today.

"I'm not sure how I'll use my winnings but I'll decide on a little investment later on," said Ms Kiran.
