Nadi eyes top spot

THE Nadi football side has a perfect opportunity to extend its lead on top of the Vodafone Premier League standings this weekend when they travel to Vanua Levu to face Labasa and Dreketi.

The Jetsetters currently lead the race with four points after two rounds of matches and further six is available this weekend.

Four Premier League matches will be played this weekend.

With Nadi travelling to face Labasa and Dreketi, defending champion Lautoka will battle Rewa on Sunday 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park and Suva face Tavua at Garvey Park at the same time. Nadi face Labasa on Saturday and Dreketi on Sunday and both matches will be played at Subrail Park and kick off 1.30pm.

Meanwhile Fiji FA competitions manager Amitesh Pal said the senior division Viti Levu zone matches would also start this weekend.

Pal said that fans could catch the action around various venues in the country.
